A short talk on children and education

I saw this years ago. Good to review. Nice belly laughs, too.

Interesting points:
–We have an education system that penalizes mistakes, but we need to make mistakes to stay creative.

–There is a hierarchy in schools. Math and Language on top, Art on the bottom.

He goes on to say “There isn’t an education system in the world that teaches dance and art everyday to children.

Wrong. I believe the Waldorf schools do that.

I met a woman just last week who was going off to work with TEDx in Tokyo. She said, “You probably don’t know what it is.” What a small world.
