Today I went over a list of verb types in my second and third year classes. The second year class worked at figuring out what category each verb I gave them would fall into. But the third/fourth year class got excited about it.
Verbs of motion, verbs of perception, stative verbs, etc. Despite the fact that I warned them that this was the most abstract thing we’d do all year, they dived into head-first and got a big kick out of it. A little competition got going (there’s only 8 students in third/fourth year).
I have more but I wanted to get this out while I was thinking about it.
