Is it “Time and We’uns” or “Time and Us’ns”? Why Imaginary and Baseless Rules Don’t Work

Why imaginary and baseless rules don’t work.
I just read the translation of a Russian title, Vremia i My, Time and We. How utterly dumb and totally foreign to the idiom of English. Time and Us. We and Time might work, as would Us and Time, though sounding extremely colloquial.
But instead of a useful discussion on how to correctly translate this title, we get thunder bolts from the grammar gods telling us that no matter how absurd it soundd, it is the only correct way to say Vremia i My in English, thus reducing the possibilities of finding an idiomatic translation to zero. But with a tin ear for language and a subservience to rules, all is possible..
