I got the idea of a bingo game using the characters from the stories in the textbook (Cambridge Latin Course) in place of the numbers and instead of calling out the names I would call out a description of the character and the students would mark the character on their bingo card.
It proved popular and productive, generating a desire to learn more about the characters (well, you’ve got to read the Latin in order to do so….) and an overall feel for how well they understood both my Latin and the stories.
