“I had to replace the cord in my weedeater so I haven’t weedeated your yard yet.” relatively uneducated yard man speaking Black English to the extent he pronounced “give” as “gie”, as in Scots English.
Dick Cheney turned an intransitive verb, to proliferate, into a transitive one thus: “… proliterate weapons…” An extremely common practice in English.
Another one: “Don’t obsolete equipment” meaning don’t make the equipment obsolete or label it as such or something – I don’t have the source. But the OED cites it as occurring as a transitive as early as 1640!
