When I asked my grandson in Italian “Come stai” (how are you), he replied “Sto bene” (I’m well). How the change from -i to -o? I never explained the grammar in relation to this expression, only in a very general way (o=I, i=you, etc.) So he’s using it, but I don’t think he was using his monitor b/c it just popped out. I think he’s been talking to the dog again.
