With the GOP continuing the same line that lost them this past national election, I feel I can predict that they will lose big in the interim election in 2014. Not too big b/c of gerrymandered districts and the one third of the country that is spitting mad that a Black guy is in the W.H. and gays serve openly in top positions in all branches of the society. Those folks, religious bigots and racists, will never change and will remain the reliable base of the GOP. But if my prediction turns out to be true, then we may see a new wave of Republicans that will ditch that base. That will be interesting. At any rate, Obama will rise in public esteem and continue to mystify the great unwashed who just can’t believe a Black guy knows how to read.
