I like this because Russian feya and Urdu pari no doubt have interesting origins feya probably is related to English fey.
Once upon a time is an odd construction in English; the Spanish uses a reflexive ser plus putting the se on the end of the finite verb…….. just not the usual thing you see. The Russian means “lived-was”. All of these are probably from earlier stages in the languages.
