Freshet a small stream of fresh water. I looked it up a discovered it has 2 more basic meanings: a flood or overflow of a river from heavy rains or a stream of fresh water flowing into the sea. I would never have used those 2.
I would definitely categorize this as Advanced, probably encountered mainly in belles-lettristic works and poetry.
