Is this tprs or ain’t it?

“The activities that encourage vocabulary learning through meaning-focues input incude listening to stories where the teacher notes unfamiliar words on the board or quickly explains their meaning, extensive reading, and taking part in interactive speaking and reading activities.”

From Long & Doughty, The Handbook of Language Teaching, p. 551, the article by I.S.P. Nation and Teresa Chung, Teaching and Testing Vocabulary.

Am I crazy? Isn’t this tprs? Nation is the top expert on fl vocabulary learning. He’s in New Zealand. Does tprs have practicioners in New Zeland? Where did he get these ingredients. He cites nothing to back up this statement, but it is certainly one tprs practitioners could agree with.
