CI filters out into the nether world of legacy teaching

This from a listserv dedicated to a particular Latin textbook:
“This definitely gives me food for thought as I plan to be more intentional in what vocabulary words I hold students accountable for this year. I’ve made this decision in part because I’ve seen how the 5th edition has cut back on vocabulary terms per stage, in part because of what I’ve learned about Comprehensible Input (shelter vocabulary, not grammar), and partly because I’m aware of how much my previous methods for teaching vocabulary worked well for the top tier students, but not nearly as well for those to whom Latin doesn’t come easily.”
Nice to see CI concepts filtering out into the legacy world.
