I just started watching an appearance by Masha Gessen, a frequent guest on MSNBC and elsewhere. She returned to her native Russia in the early nineties to work as a journalist in her native language. She found journalists struggling to create a media with integrity but hampered by the way the Communists had sucked the meaning out of words and turned the meaning of some words on its head. Then she started on Trump’s similar use of language. I will write down her examples, which are hilarious and horrifying at the same time. God! This is awful.
