My friend with whom I have weekly conversations surprised me with his version of “what does Putin have on Trump?” Not pee tapes, not massive loans from Russian mob bosses, not corrupt ties to Russian oligarchs…. no, he just wants to build his Trump Tower in Moscow. That’s it.
The notion is breathtakingly simple: Trump wants his tower…… with his name on it. Period. At first it sounded silly, but then you begin thinking: you know, that sounds just like Trump. No thought of American security, no attention to Putin’s aggressions, no concern for American interests, just “make me rich and famous with a big tower in Moscow.”
Altogether, it makes sense.
