I coulda shoulda wore a large

I did not write down the source of this but I’m guessing it was a live person I was listening to. The juxtaposition of two modals is a feature of Southern U.S. speech. The -a is a contraction of have. Wore is a common past participle in non-standard speech.

I have many such uses recorded on slips of paper I intend to put on this blog. So many intentions, so little time.
