I didn’t record this session but we did just one thing. I took the first chapter of the tprs book Pauvre Anne and wrote on post-its both characteristics of characters and new words. Then I made a chart with the characters drawn with names underneath and then pictures representing new words like ‘pomme’. As I read the story slowly, she had to select the post-it appropriate to that passage and stick it under the apposite drawing. She did well, sifting through the post-its to adjust her initial placement as she realized there was a more appropriate sentence.
So my task now is to come up with a personal passage of 20 or more paragraphs and do the same thing with that, giving me opportunity to reinforce certain old vocabulary and introduce new items.
