Given the behavior of the extremists on both sides, I wouldn’t be surprised to see civil war no matter who wins the election. If they can believe that 99% of medical professionals are lying to us, why should they believe the election results?
As usual, Wes, I have to ask who is an extremist on the “other side?” When we ask this, there is a tendency for the reply to be, “There are always two sides to an issue.” Yes, but extremism is not a side, it is a distortion. So who is doing the distorting other than the Trumpers and the alt-right? Some call BLM extemist. I remember MLK being labeled a dangerous extremist by the most stalwart members of our society. AOC?
The question I would pose is whether Antifa can be considered extremist. I don’t know enough about them other than that they are willing to respond to the Nazis, Klan, etc. on an equal footing, i.e. hang the other cheek business. Is that extremism? I was labeled a radical at my school for voting Democratic.
So is this a sliding scale thing?
I do appreciate your responses to me and cannot help but wonder why others don’t. The stats show visits. Hmmm
