I’ve tried finding an entry to tack this latest onto but can’t find anything recent that is appropriate: the showdown in Portland between protesters and Trumpers. Someone decided to give the Trumpers a martyr and killed one of them. Gee, can you think of any wars, civil and otherwise, that have started because some one or more people got killed? Hmmm, a few, I think. It’s called waving the red shirt. Now the Trumpers have their red shirt. Where will it lead? Is this 1860 or 1861? Stay tuned.
