Reason in, Reason out

Michael Steele, former RNC chair, said a friend asked him a good question concerning the Trump/Insurrection supporters: how do you reason someone out of a mind-set they did not reason themselves into?

P.S. When I first set up this category, little did I know that not only the date would be wrong but the virus variants would need to be updated.

“A man convinced against his will
is of the same opinion still.”

(I haven’t been able to determine which of the three oft-repeated sources is accurate.)

It seems a few have acknowledged wrong, but ducking the blame by pointing fingers at others who deceived them.

Like the little kid pointing his finger at his playmate and saying, “He made me do it.” It further supports my Magnum Opus contention that the Trumpers in general are somewhat immature in general. You’ll enjoy my M.O. and will probably be the only one to read it 🙂

I have so many Wide and sorrow-filled thots and feelings on this, that I’d like to formulate into an interesting and cohesive comment…

I hae grown to listen intently, admire Michael Steele since he moved to the
“PAUSED republican” column. I automatically, organically loved those repubs Who EXISTED the gop completely Tho.

But this is the first of your blog series — that I don’t know where to take the Inferance of “Reason” — All the Synonms for that word “Reason” … *propriety, * sanity, *limits, *wisdom …. NONE of those Clearer definitions Apply to the tRump Insurrectionists supports….

So this concludes my comment — ‘Mind-sets’ — All still Choice & decision… Any selection of actions this Severe, should never be chosen, without staying in the Limits of SANITY.
